Talibanism is now what they call us?
Its quite a dissapointment when Nazri and the cabinet decided to drop the " moral squad" proposed by JAKIM.
The ministers should one day take a late night walk in Taman Tasik Perdana and Titiwangsa and witness the scenery themselves, remind them to look harder among the bushes.
Then maybe they see JAKIM relevance.
Well, at least for us, muslims think its an uproar.
I’ve heard PAS even took advantage of this. They see Islam Hadhari as a failure, an encouragement to deter anything be done on our problematic, even shuddering social system.
U should occasionally come to ceramah agama after maghrib, quite interesting actually, berapi-api mengutuk satu sama lain.PAS ngutuk BN, BN ngutuk PAS
My verdict? Politics are all the same.

Actually, i agree with a portion of those claims.
Only the failure part, but not necessarily because of Islam Hadhari, or PAS or even the mufti.
I truly believed its because of the current education system.
Lots of talk , no action. Hafal everything, an A for agama.
In that case, i strongly agree even a monkey can get an A, given enough training.
At first, i was among the masses, why abolish the " moral squad" ?.Its obviously something good.
And then i read an article by a non-muslim about how happy he felt the moral squad being ab0lished ,that turned my viewpoint into a much bigger picture.
Among other things, what he wrote was a bit like this:
…..its almost like the beginning of talibanism of life in Malaysia.It would seem the sole concern of the the religious affairs departments is enforcement islamic way of life-that Muslims must be forced to live accordigly to the dictates of their religion.
Shouldnt the religious affairs officials see it as sad that force had to be used?Shouldnt they see as a failure of the religious education than Malaysian Muslims have been getting all this while?( that is approximately 11 years or so)
Are Muslims preacher teaching the right thing?Are the agama lessons in school merely a means indoctrinating Muslims with the rules of Islam but not the spirit of it?
No matter what system is used, it is only expected that a few of any religion are…
See? these neutral people( non muslim) thinks muslims are getting desperate.malaysian muslims are bare in spirit, islam significant only on their names.
And the consequence of these "moral squad "events also made his mind towards islam as a religion of force, and we are helpless to correct him as he , being a natural human, judges something based on proof, facts and reality events and the "moral squad" issue provided him just that, albeit subconciously.
As for me, i can only bow my head in shame, because come to think of it, he had proved a point, right there.
