Ok sambung balik.

In Hidrokarbon, theres perbandingan antara alkana alkena right?

Two is ujian larutan and one is ujian pembakaran( uji kejelagaan).

before we start, i would like to emphasis on how to write a pemerhatian, especially involving pertukaran warna.
Mesti ada mention: 1. warna asal
                              2. nama bahan secara spesifik
                            3.  warna baru
eg : warna biru larutan kuprum ( II) sulfat bertukar menjadi tidak berwarna

Now , in any ujian pon, wether ujian air kapur ke, ujian asid ke, ujian larutan kalium permanganat berasid ke…, there’s a way on how to write it

1. Kaedah
2. Bahan
3. Pemerhatian
4. Nama hasil( optional, depending on question)
So, in the subject of ujian perbandingan alkana/alkena

eg: 1  . 2 cm3 heksana/heksena( bahan) ditambahkan( kaedah) ke dl tabung uji yg berisi lautan kalium manganat ( vi) berasid.(bahan)
2. I cm3 asid sulfurrik (bahan)ditambahkan(kaedah) dan campuran digoncangkan( kaedah).
3. warna ….larutan… berubah kepada ……/ warna….. larutan…. tidak berubah( refer to " how to write a pemerhatian" above)
4. sebatian…..( nama hasil) terbentuk

u might want to add analysis, as in why does it happen.
eg; heksana hidrokarbon tepu maka… etc… etc…

right, for ujian kejelagaan , usually ada three marks.

Markah pertama:

cth: heksena menghasilkan lebih banyak jelaga berbanding heksana  apabila terbakar dalam udara,

markah kedua:

peratusan kabon yang terkandung dalam molekul heksena lebih tinggi berbanding peratusan kabon dalam molekul heksana.
Semakin tinggi peratusan karbon permolekul , semakin berjelaga

markah ketiga:

Heksena( C6H12)

6 x 12 ( 6xJAR) x 100  = 85.7 %
  84         JMR

Heksana( C6H14)

6 x 12 ( 6xJAR) x 100 = 83.7 %
   86         JMR

Now untuk bab Forrm 4 pulak..

I’m going to talk about how to write an esssay in bab elektrokimia , which sometimes can also be used as guidelines to wite an essay in bab Tindakabalas Redoks.

Yeah, people might just hafal everything but i have some sort of framework, or guidelines, to make sure u dont either tertinggal anything and miss marks.

We start step by step.
Of course, draw the picture.

2. When doing bahan dan radas, be specific,
larutan mesti beserta isipadu dan kemolaran. 50cm3 larutan kuprum( II ) sulfat 0.1 Mol dm3
bikar, silinder penyukat mesti ader senggatan berapa. bikar 100 cm3
elektrod juga disebut. kepingan kuprum.., sudu besi,
3. When finish all the fundamentals, pembolehubah and all, now we can start.

Dlm ekserimen kertas (II), first u can write ,
THE LITAR SET-UP

Cth:

1.Reostat, ammeter,bateri, elektrod disambungkan dengan wayar penyambung
2.Determine which elektrod is positive/negative /anod/katod. kepingan kuprum disambungkan kepada terminal negatif bateri,maka kuprum adlah katod dan….( katod ke anod r? tak ingat..)
3. kedua-dua Elektrod DICELUPKAN dalam elektrolit larutan……
4.  ion-ion apa yg hadir?

WHAT HAPPENED IN ANOD

1. Ion apa yg hadir? namakan , jangan beri formula. Ion yang hadir dalam elektrolit ialah ion hirdogen , ion kuprum( II)…
2. Ion yang tertarik? Ion yang tertarik kepada elektrod kupum ialah ion hidrogen dan ion kuprum
3. Ion apa yg terpilih untuk dinyahcas? Ion kuprum ( II) terpilih untuk dinyahcas membetuk atom kuprum.
4
.Sebab dan penjelasan  Keudukan ion kuprum lebih rendah berbanding ion hidogen dlm siri elektrokimia.
5
. Pemerhatian pada elektrod.pepejal berwarna perang  terrenap pada elektrod kuprum

Setengah persamaaan. dont ask me to write it down, i’m hopeless in persamaan.

WHAT HAPPENED IN KATOD

Same as above, yada yada.

WHAT HAPPENED TO ELEKTROLIT?

Any change i colour ? If yes, explain what. No change? if yes, explain what also. dont shut up.
Writing down the change must refer to " how to write a pemerhatian" above.

cth: Warna biru larutan kuprum ( II) sulfat bertukar menjadi tidak berwarna( Ada change)
       Kepekatan warna biru larutan kupum ( II ) sulfat tidak berubah( No change)

Reasoning the change.
kepekatan warna biru larutan kupum ( II ) sulfat tidak berubah kerana kadar penyahcasan ion kuprum di katod menjadi atom kuprum adalah sama dengan kadar pengionan atom kuprum menjadi ion kuprum ( ii) di anod.

ADDITIONS( optional, depending on question)

  1. elektron bergerak dari terminal…… di elektrod….. ke terminal….. di elektrod ….. melalui LITAR LUAR

2. Titian garam.membolehkan ion-ion mengalir dan melengkapkan litar, mengasingkan 2 elektrolit agar tidak bercampur

3. Reostat. Memastikan arus yang rendah mengalir dalam litar agar penyaduran sekata.

4. persamaan penuh.

How should i start?
For those who hv no idea whats this entry all about, please refer to comments in " oh so takot".
Its been aaagesss  since i’ve left chemistry, i dont think i even remember takrifan asid anymore.
When a teacher asked me to write a chemistry essay,of course, u can expect i hv problems.

Problem no 1, theres no books, papers, notes or anything whatsoever about chemistry within my reach.sumer dh buang, the beloved notebook included.

Problem no2, nk essay bi ke bm?? if the former, ah…i ‘m not be able to help , am i? i mean, gambar rajah tenaga in bi aperh? energy profile diagram? ye ker?

If the latter,..urmm.. maybe i can lend some pointers .Note my choice of word, maybe.Last night, after all, i did find a chemistry book, my sister’s , actually( one of the perks having a twin sister , eh?)and did a bit of reading to refresh my memory, which took me a considerable 2 hours to finish bab" kadar tindakbalas" je.

oh well, cg roslynda, this one’s for you.

In Chemistry, there’s a few rule of thumb that i follow,

Rule no 1: The textbook is always right

Rule no 2: If in doubt, refer to rule no 1.

Rule no 3: Whatever the teacher writes, says and draw in class is the exact thing that u hv to write,  say,and draw in exam papers.So dont just stare at the teacher folks! write something.VERY HELPFUL.

Rule no 4: Do not read buku rujukan first thing.U”ll get a headache.What i did was, read the text book by heart, then read buku rujukan, if theres something in the buku rujukan that textbook dont have,, i either extract them, or highlight them so next time around , i just read the highlighted part . I dont read anywhere else bcoz its already in the textbooks.

Bottom line, ITS ALL THERE IN THE TEXTBOOKS.

Right, enough of introduction,.
Its early March so i estimated Fitfth formers should finished kadar tindakbalas by now.

In esSays, usually the question in this bab, will revolve around Teori Perlanggaran( Collision Theory)
Ada 4 factors right? namely, JUMLAH LUAS PERMUKAAN PER ISIPADU, SUHU, KEPEKATAN,TEKANAN, DAN MANGKIN.

oK. " Berdasarkan Teori Perlanggaran , terangkan kesan ………….  kepada kadar tindakbalas kimia…..

How to answer?

if JUMLAH LUAS PERMUKAAN PER ISiPADU( usually cerita pasal daging potong kecik2 , lebih cepat masak)

1.  Semakin kecil zarah, semakin besar JUMLAH LUAS PERMUKAAN PER ISIPADU zarah yg terdedah kepada tindakbalas or zarah yg bersaiz kecil mempunyai JUMLAH LUAS PERMIUKAAN PER ISIPADU yangb lebih besar BERBANDING zarah yang bersaiz besar

2.Semakin bertambah jumlah luas pemukaan, semakin bertambah peluang perlanggaran antara zarah

3. Bilangan pelanggaran bertambah, bilangan perlanggaran BERKESAN bertambah
4. Frekuensi perlanggaran BERKESAN bertambah
5. Kadar tindakbalas bertambah.

2 SUHU( temperature)

1. Semakin tinggi suhu, semakin tinggi kadar tindakbalas

1. Apabila suhu tinggi, tenaga kinetik zarah akan bertambah

2.Zarah mempunyai tenaga yang lebih tinggi akan bergerak dengan halaju yang tinggi.

3.Bilangan perlanggaran bertambah, bilangan perlanggaran BERKESAN  bertambah
4. Frekuensi perlanggaran BERKESAN bertambah
5. kadar tindakbalas bertambah

3. KEPEKATAN

1. Semakin bertambah kepekatan, semakin tinggi kadar tindakbalas.( generalising or ayat penyata am)

2.Semakin bertambah kepekatan, semakin banyak zarah dalam satu unit per isipadu larutan

3. Bilangan perlangaran antara zarah bertambah, bilangan pelanggaran BERKESAN bertambah
4. Frekuensi perlanggaran berkesan bertambah
5.Kadar tindakbalas bertambah

Tekanan also uses the same  answer as above. cuma in gas only.

MANGKIN 

1. Semakin banyak kuantiti mangkin, semakin tinggi kadar tindakbalas( generalising)

2.mangkin positif merendahkan tenaga pengaktifan satu tindakbalas untuk berlaku bagai menyediakan satu lintasan altenatif.

3.Lebih banyak zarah yang belanggar dapat melepasi tenaga pengaktifan baru yang lebih rendah

4. Bilangan perlanggaran BERKESAN bertambah
5. Frekuensi perlanggran BERKESAN bertambah
6.Kadar tindakbalas bertambah

Now, if u notice , theres kinda of pattern

ayat pertama adalh generalising
ayat kedua dan ketiga adalah reasoning
ayat 4, 5, 6( highlighted in blue) adalh fundamentals, which means hv to copy exact words if not , no marks.

What do people forget?

1. JUMLAH LUAS PERMUKAAN PER ISIPADU , people always forget the part highlighted in bold
2. In reasoning suhu, its compulsory to write, apabila suhu tinggi..
3. jumlah zarah per seunit isipadu larutan
4. the word "zarah", i’ve highlighted in red, its not wrong but its too general, must specify what zarah.
eg. molekul hidrogen…
     atom carbon…
     perlanggaran antara molekul-molekul… dengan molekul……

Get it?

Now, on to  bab Hidrokarbon pulak..

I’m going to talk about Sifat fizik ahli2 dlm Siri Homolog.
Which semuanya sama, right?
Semakin menuruni siri homolog, ….

1. TAKAT LEBUR DAN TAKAT DIDIH BETAMBAH
2. KEMERUAPAN BERKURANG
3. KETUMPATAN BETAMBAH
4. KEADAAN FIZIK BERUBAH DARI GAS—CECAIR—PEPEJAL
5. TIDAK MENGKONDUKSIKAAN ARUS ELEKTRIK, TIDAK LARUT DALAM AIR

For the first FOUR, reasoning adalah sama saja.

eg, " Mengapakah takat lebur bertambah/kemeruapan berkurang/ ketumpatan bertambah/keadaan fizik berubah. ,semakin menuruni siri homolog?"

Answer:

generalising: Semakin…… apabila  semakin apabila menuruni siri homolog
reasoningbilangan atom karbon per molekul alkana/alkena bertambah
                  
saiz dan jisim molekul alkena/alkana betambah
                  daya tarikan antara molekul /Van der Walls bertambah kuat.
                  Lebih banyak tenaga haba yang diperlukan untuk memutuskan ikatan
concluding: maka takat lebur…/keadaan fizik…/kemeruapan…/  apabila semakin menurruni siri homolog.

note" for ketumpatan, reasoning sampai di " saiz dan jisim molekul alkana/alkena bertambah" sahaja.

for TIDAK MENGKONDUKSIKAN ARUS ELEKTRIK, its obvious isnt it?

mestilah 1. Alkana/Alkena adalah sebatian kovalen.
              2.terdiri drpd molekul-molekul kovalen ringkas.
               3.tiada ion-ion yang begerak bebas
               4. tidak boleh konduksi elektrik

So Crash wins best picture in the Oscars.
A guy friend of mine insisted me on me watching Crash because , according to him, " the most honest film ever made,a one-of-a-kind," and this occurence, of course,happpened before the Oscars.
If truth be said,considering last night revelation of glamourous events,i’m afraid i have to go through the whole i-told-u-so routine with him for the coming days because i’ve placed my betting on brokeback mountain.

Recently, i forced myself to keep being busy, to keep my mind of things, say,painstakingly pegi Bangi for driving training when ada jerh driving school nearby.( that particular tempat takde orang, tiap2 hari boleh train if want to), juggling a few jobs, belanja all my family ( baru dapat gajilah katakan..), appointment with stranger no 1 in Pandan Indah and of course, blogging.
Hence, in between those places, about 45% of my time is spent either in the  PUTRA LRT, KOMUTER , STAR, or the PUTRA feeder bus.( and maximising my Touch N Go card along the way) and by the time i got home,the extensive movement had put a toll on my body,i’ll flat out just right after isyak’.
End of one day.

It kinda worked, my focus tend to go elsewhere( i.e. my fast vanishing money, the bloody always late bus, how to get back when salah naik tren..) rather than the SPM results.
Only when an e-mail came from a girl friend about the up and coming results , the nervous jibes came kicking in my stomach.
Up untill  Monday, i never really thought about it, to be serious , i’ve even fogotten that ada lagi  jap , satu , dua , tiga,.. ape? 5 hari jerh lagi results berbentuk SPM nk kluar..

Now,  i realised, low self -confidence is wreaking havoc in my helpless mind.
After the UTP/Petronas incident, i’m afraid to put my hopes all high and dizzying for fear to be dissappointed once again.
Fear of wether if i can pay back my parents.
Fear wether i’m qualified to justify all the hardwork from my teachers.
Funnily, i  fear more of dissappointing everyone else around me rather than  myself.
All my reasons of fear is based on people around me, when supposedly , it should be based on me, my preparations, my efforts, my will, my perfomance.
But its not there, i believe i dont really care about my results if not there are people whos responsible for what and where i am today, and i ,am forever indebted to them.

Some say, i am terlalu baik, and people take advantage of me.
My dad even complained of my tendecy to work for anyone who begs me before asking about the rate and payment.

" It doesnt work that way in the real world, kaklong,"

Yes ayah, i know that but somehow, i dont really feel like being taken into advantage  when people did.Mainly because of my principles,

1. Always husnuzon( thank u dollah) or bersangka baik.Like, if c in asrama still have a girl kt tgh gelap2 when everyone else sumer dh setengah jam start prep, dont jump into negative conclusions, like, nh mesti mencuri ke ponteng ke. maybe she overslept, and no one woke her up, and when she did, asrama dh gelap gelita, and she’s scared of both being  left in the darkness and alone and scared of being caught and pagar kunci.And when she’s sampai kelas, suzam ada,lecturing her, and tomorow supposed to be exam math modern.i mean, she already misd half an hour of prep, give her a break!( based on personal experience)

2.Try being in the persons shoes.

3. This is their day, my day will come in the future.

And i think i should stop. Its growing on me into a habit.Which is a problem.

I dunno.

P/s: My driving instructor said my style of driving is perceived as ‘ dangerous’.

Remind me to send this article to any scripwriter across the country for malay drama.
Because i really think this true story should be adapted into 1 hour malay drama series.
And i personally want Zamarul Hisham to be the leading actor, he’s notoriously known for playing the unfaithful husband role..

So , whats the catch here?

11.04: I get home with my dad from Carrefour. Neighbour next door has two cars in the driveway.The husband already home.

11.37: A panicked neighbour wife beside my house came out and call my father ,looking totally frantic.
Claimed that her husband fell down terlentang and fainted.
My dad went for the usual standard check. No pulse
She said her husband just got home. When? my dad asked.
Just now. She said.

11.40 : My dad gets suspicious. He was positive the husband car was in the driveway 30 minutes ago. Why say just now? Why wait half-an hour before alerting him?
Obviously she’s been contemplating to alert or not the people around.

12.00: My dad asked her to inform the husband relatives.She scrambled for his husband handphone.
The husband is unofficially pronounced as dead, considering the non-existent pulse , and already blue body. Maybe heart-attack. The ambulance is called.
Dad called mom to accompany the wife.me and sister joined in the party. Sight of huge man dead body partly disturbing.

12.15: Wife did most strangest thing. Called every name in husband phonebook and asked,

" Ini relative ke? kenal Khairul tak?"

Extremely peculiar. Seems like the wife doesnt know any family of the husband. Only know they are in Setiawangsa.Eh? camane balik kampong raya?
Oh god, the son is crying, no, wailing his heart out.

12.36: Now all neighbours had been called in. Helped to carry the body out into the ambulance. Somehow manage to call a relative of husband.Wife claimed its his cousin
One neighbour half-jokingly mused:

" Kita tak boleh sentuh orang nih, mana tau die kena hantuk ke apa ke, nih crime scene nih!, tunggu ambulance dtg.."

When the relatives came( a man, one woman and a few others), we gather around and delivered the bad news.
The Woman from Setiawangsa said to the Wife,

" Who are you?"

Eyebrows raised.Is the wife really the wife?

I dont want to eavesdrop but somehow The Woman talked so loud, the whole neigbourhood  can hear her.
It turns out The Woman from Setiawangsa is his first wife and she never knew she had a "madu" and anak tiri  untill that fateful night.
The wife ( second wife)only knew Setiawangsa is where the husband family resides because she always drop him by tepi jalan kat Setiawangsa,
The alleged cousin is only a friend.

Which explained everything.
The Woman now First wife even scolded the Second wife,

" Tulah , nikah tak bagitau , kan dah jadik macam nih.. Allah nak tunjuk la 2.."

At this point , i cant bear hearing any more humiliation being bombarded towards the Second Wife, i shut myself into the car.
I felt so sorry for her.On second thought, padan muka jugak,sape suruh kahwin sorok2?

What do u think? Worthy of a section in Samarinda ke, Selekta Prima ke,Sembilu ke, at 8.30 o’clock?
You bet it does.
